Charles J. Zawacki

ZAWACKI, CHARLES J. passed away Monday February 13, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Stasia F. (Blecharczyk) Zawacki for 48 years. Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Joseph and Michalina (Bielagus) Zawacki. He lived in Lincoln for the past 48 years and was formerly of Pawtucket. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. During that time he received The Soldier's Medal for Heroism. He served as Commander of the Kierlit Korzen A.L. Post 79, First District Commander, RI State Commander, and he was a National Executive Committee Man. Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his his loving children Julie Zawacki-Lucci and her husband Anthony of North Kingstown, Charles and Frank Zawacki both of Lincoln,. He also leaves one cherished granddaughter Chloe Lucci and one sister Camilla Stuczyk of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Stanley, Frank, Joseph and Leo Zawacki. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday February 17, 2017 in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS THURSDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. in the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Charles's Memory to St. Joseph's Church Renovation Fund would be greatly appreciated.
