Eugene Gwizdowski

GWIZDOWSKI, EUGENE 89, passed away Tuesday July 4, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Clare (Murphy) Gwizdowski. They were married for 61 years. Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Bronislaw and Bertha (Taraska) Gwizdowski. He was a life long resident of Pawtucket. Before retiring Gene was employed as a Salesman for the Central Paper Co. of Pawtucket for 55 years. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island Class of 1952 receiving a Bachelor's Degree. Gene was an U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal with the 2114th Headquarters Company as a Supply Records Specialist. He was a former office holder of both the Holy Cross Church Parish Committee and PAMBA. Besides his beloved wife he leaves his loving family three children Nancy J. Gwizdowski of Greenville, David M. Gwizdowski and his wife Mary Frances Snow of Bristol and Steven J. Gwizdowski and his companion Linda LeMay of Warren. He also leaves six devoted grandchildren Melanie, Corinne, Noel, Sarah, Andrew and Alan along with three cherished great grandchildren Annie, Declan and Gunny, nieces and nephews. Mr. Gwizdowski's funeral will be held Monday July 10, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church 320 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. CALLING HOURS SUNDAYFROM 2:00 P.M. TO 5:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
