SMITHFIELD, RI - Frances A. Podolski 96, passed away Friday October 2, 2020 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Podolski.

     Born in Cumberland, RI Frances was a daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria (Maston) Meczywor. She lived in Smithfield, RI for the past 7 years and was formerly of Pawtucket, RI.

     Before retiring in 1979 Frances was employed by the former Paulis Silk Co. of Central Falls, RI for 25 years, rertiring as a Floor Lady.

     Mrs. Podolski is survived by her loving daughter, Eileen Tumidajski and her husband Richard of Smithfield, RI, two devoted granddaughters, Lynn Ferguson of South Carolina and Stephanie Hess, of Illinois. She also leaves three cherished great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Glod and Jane Iwuc.

     A Private Funeral was held Monday October 5, 2020, with a Prayer Service in the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland, RI.
