PAWTUCKET - Ferdinand J. "Fred" Molak Jr. 65, passed away Saturday April 23, 2016, at his home in Pawtucket. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Dr. Ferdinand J. and Sophie A. (Mitera) Molak Sr. Fred most recently was a self-employed Tax & Estate Planning Attorney in Pawtucket. Prior to that he was employed by the following Law Firms: Touche Ross & Co. of Boston, MA; Di Buono and Molak of Manchester, NH; and Kfoury and Elliott Professional Association, also of Manchester, NH. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1972; his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA in 1976; a Masters of Law degree from Boston University School of Law, Boston, MA, in 1977; and a Masters of Business Administration from Suffolk University School of Business Administration, Boston, MA, in 1981. Fred was a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire Bar Associations and a member of the Rotary Club of Manchester, NH. He also served on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of New Hampshire. An avid boater and saltwater fisherman, Fred also enjoyed reading, listening to music, and golfing. He is survived by his loving family: Sophia C. Mone and her husband Charles K. of Belmont, MA; Mary Ann "Marni" Molak of Cambridge, MA; Dr. Andrew J. Molak and his wife Ann M. of Barrington, RI; and Christopher J. Molak and his wife Marilyn J. of Coventry, RI. He also leaves eight devoted nieces and nephews: Christina Fogli, Laura Mone, Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Emily Molak, and Nicholas, Jessica, and Lucas Molak. The funeral for Mr. Molak will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS FRIDAY FROM 4:00 P.M.
