On August 13,2024 Jeannette (Jan) M. (White) Lukaszewski passed to be reunited with family and
friends. Jan was born to James E. White Jr and Jeannette (Robert) White on March 28 th , 1944 as the
youngest of seven. Jan was married to Thaddeus (Ted) Lukaszewski and was his dancing partner, First
Mate, Love of His Life and better half as they enjoyed the opportunity to cruise the waters of
Narragansett Bay, Newport, Block Island, Connecticut River, Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. They
were inseparable as they enjoyed the boating experience and the many memories with family and
friends.
Jan graduated from Sacred Heart High School of Pawtucket, RI the class of 1961. After graduation and
two children later Jan began her career as a sales representative for Anderson Rigging and Trucking and
continued to advance her ambitions as dental assistant, school bus driver (enjoying the children she was
transporting) and eventually acquiring a driver’s position with RIPTA where she enjoyed the many
individuals she came in contact with, but didn’t appreciate the mornings of 4 am and a cold bus!! In her
life Jan accumulated many friends whom loved her for her impulsive way of showing her love of life.
Jan leaves her wonderful son and daughter-in-law, James and Joan Abbott, son-in-law James Hand,
grandchildren Brianna Abbott Woodruff and husband Benjamin Woodruff, John Abbott, Kaileen Hand,
