JOHN R. DONAHUE JR.

John R. Donahue Jr. 79, passed away July 5, 2024. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John R. Sr. and Mary (Shottek) Donahue. 

Originally from Central Falls, he raised his family in Woonsocket and most recently lived in South Yarmouth, MA.

 Mr. Donahue was a Truck Driver for Carolina Freight and Teamsters Union Local 251 for over 30 years. After retiring in 1997, he  spent several years managing Fierlit-Korzen Post 79 and also the Garfield Social Club, both in Central Falls.

 John also belonged to the East Providence Elks # 2337 and the Teamsters Retirees Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Donahue of Woonsocket, Carolyn Choquette and her husband Paul of Woonsocket, one brother Kevin Donahue and his wife Carol of South Yarmouth, MA, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the beloved companion of Barbara Nardolillo for 27 years. He was the father of the late John A. Donahue III.

 A Service of Remembrance will be held Sunday July 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and Friends are welcome to attend.
