Kazimierz Zalewski

CUMBERLAND - Kazimierz Zalewski 85, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Danuta (Demkewicz) Zalewski. They were married for 65 years. Born in Przymislo, Poland he was a son of the late Dr. Antoni and Maria (Tworzydlo) Zalewski. Kazimierz attended Dental School in Krakow, Poland and worked with his father in his dental practice until he moved to the United States with his family in 1961. When he arrived in the United States he was employed by Cremings Dental Laboratory in Providence, RI and eventually opened Custom Dental Laboratory, Ltd. in Cumberland, RI. He was the President and owner for many years before his retirement. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters, Zeneta Zalewski - Klara and her husband Martin of Cumberland, RI, Elwira Brien and her husband Scott also of Cumberland, RI and Marzena Salome and her husband James of Saunderstown, RI. He also leaves four grandchildren, Cory Brien, Vanessa Salome - Al - Ghamdi, Martin Klara and Alexandra (Klara) Winthrop, One great grandchild Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Janina Zybala, Krystyna Socha, Maria Kabalewicz and Jozefa Warot. The funeral for Mr. Zalewski will be held Saturday February 4, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2017 FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. Memorial Donations in Mr. Zalewski's Memory to St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI or Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI would be greatly appreciated. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, 259 West Wrentham Road Cumberland, RI.
