LEO MACHOWSKI

89, passed away Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Grandview Center in Cumberland, RI. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Hayes) Machowski.

Born in Attleboro, MA he was a son of the late John and Mary (Antos) Machowski.

Before retiring Leo was a co owner of Boma Painting Co. of Lincoln, RI for 20 years retiring in 2000. Prior to that he was employed by the former Ward Baking Co. Leo was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea with the 1824th Headquarters Co. & the 53rd  AAA Headquarter Battery. He was discharged as a Tech Sergeant.

     Beside his beloved wife he is survived by his loving family, one daughter Karen Novak of Pawtucket, RI, two sons David Machowski and his wife Mary Ann of Woonsocket, RI and Leo J. Machowski and his wife Laura of Cumberland, RI, one sister Dorothy Hickerson of North Providence, RI. He also leaves one stepdaughter Brenda Cotnoir of Lincoln, RI, one stepson James Cotnoir and his husband Kevin of Norton, MA, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis, John, Stanley and Edward Machowski and Celia Pupecki.

His funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church 320 High Street Central Falls, RI at 9:45 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Calling hours Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.  Burial at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI will be private.
