Leo A. Gaouette Jr.

GAOUETTE, JR., LEO A. 91, passed away Thursday May 24, 2018 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol. Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Leo A. and Rose (Robitaille) Gaouette Sr. He lived in Bristol for the past three years and was formerly of Central Falls. Before retiring in 1989 Leo was employed as a Textile Mechanic for the former Cadillac Textile Co. of Cumberland for thirty seven years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving as a Seaman First Class and was a member of the Garfield Social Club of Central Falls. Mr. Gaouette is survived by his loving family two daughters Eleanora Brown of North Attleboro, Mary Stevens and her husband Nelson of Rehoboth, four sons Leo Gaouette of Warwick, Edward Gaouette of Seekonk, Robert Gaouette of North Attleboro and Ronald Gaouette and his wife Donna of Attleboro, two brothers Allen Gaouette of South Attleboro and Clinton Gaouette of Seekonk, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joseph Gaouette and the brother of the late Edward Gaouette. Funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Prayer Service in the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. CALLING HOURS TUESDAY FROM 4:00 PM TO 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Leo's Memory to "A Wish Come True" 1010 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888 would be greatly appreciated. Burial will be at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
