PAWTUCKET, RI - Maria M. Grela 85, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Piotr J. Grela.
Born in Strzelce Wielkie, Poland she was a daughter of the late Andrzej and Tekla (Jurek) Grzesik. She lived in Pawtucket, RI for the past 40 years and was formerly of Central Falls, RI. She came to this country in 1978.
Before retiring Maria was employed by the former Health-Tex Mfg. Co and the former Elizabeth Webbing Co. as a Spooler for many years.
Mrs. Grela was a communicant of St. Joseph's Parish Central Falls, RI and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Besides her husband she is also survived by her loving family. Two daughters Jolanta Gazille and her husband Rick of Northbridge, MA, Monica Gimont and her husband Ernest of Myrtle Beach, SC, one son Wesley Grela and his wife Krystyna of Seekonk, MA, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends were welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday February 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI.
