PAWTUCKET, RI - Maria Misiolek 88, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanislaw Misiolek.
     Born in Poland she was a daughter of the late Franciszek and Katarzyna (Augustyn) Stygar. She lived in Pawtucket, RI for most of her life. Maria came to this country with her husband and two daughters in 1966.
     Before retiring Maria was employed as a Machine Operator for the former American Insulated Wire & Cable Co. for many years.
     Mrs. Misiolek was a master gardener. She cultivated a robust vegetable garden every summer and also proudly maintained her flower beds and ornamental bushes and trees in her yard.
     One of her great joys was spending many hours cooking and preparing specialty Polish delicacies for her family to enjoy at Christmas and other holidays.
     Another favorite pastime that she enjoyed in her later years was watching family oriented TV shows from the 1960's and 1970's.
     Maria is survived by her two daughters, Jane Welden and her husband Douglas of Attleboro, MA, Lucyna Degnan and her husband Scott Titus of Pawtucket, RI, three grandchildren Eric Degnan and his wife Rene of Pawtucket, RI, Joan Welden of Foxboro, MA, and Katie Welden of Taunton, MA. She also leaves one great granddaughter Aubry Degnan of Pawtucket, RI, one brother Waclaw Stygar and his wife Lydia of Poland, nieces and nephews.
     Relatives and friends were welcome to attend a Prayer Service Saturday February 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery 359 Daggett Avenue Pawtucket, RI at Noon.
