MARIA SOJKA Obituary
Pawtucket - Maria Sojka 98, passed away Monday March 27, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Sojka.
Born in Gruszow Maly Dabrowa Tarnowska, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Jusef and Zofia (Trela) Kogut. Mrs. Sojka lived in Pawtucket for over fifty years after moving here from poland. She was employed by Murdock Webbing of Central Falls before retiring.
She is survived by her loving children, one daughter Joanne Boryczka and her husband John of Cumberland, two sons Thaddeus Sojka and his wife Zofia of Florida and Roman Sojka and his wife Elizabeth of Pawtucket, three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, She was the mother of the late Jozef and John Sojka and was sister of the late Bronislawa Ryczek, Genowefa Kowal and Wladyslaw Kogut.
Her funeral will be held Friday March 31, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. from The Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
