74, passed away Wednesday May 10, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Denise (Laurie) Krzyzek.
Born in Pawtucket, RI he was a son of the late Mitchell and Irene T. (Herchel) Krzyzek. He lived in Seekonk, MA for the past 9 years and was formerly of Middletown, RI.
Before retiring Mitch was employed as a Supervising Engineer for SubLan Laboratory at Lockheed Martin in Newport, RI for 6 years. Prior to that he was employed as a Combat Systems Engineer for the Navel Undersea Warfare Center also of Newport, RI for 40 years.
Mitchell was an avid Golfer and a member of the Green Valley Country Club of Portsmouth, RI. He enjoyed playing in a Golf League with his friends and looked forward to his yearly trips to Disney world and Las Vegas with his family. He also enjoyed going to Saratoga Springs.
Beside his wife he is survived by his loving family two sons Mitchell L. Krzyzek Jr. and his wife Susan of Seekonk, MA and David E. Krzyzek and his wife Jennifer of Rumford, RI, three grandchildren, Dylan Jeffrey Krzyzek, Madeline Grace Krzyzek and Mitchell L. Krzyzek III. He also leaves two sisters Barbara Holt and her husband Thomas and Linda M. Sherman and her husband Jayson all of Lincoln, RI. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday May 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM from the Karol A. Romenski & Son, Inc. Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Of The Child Jesus Church 358 Newport Avenue Pawtucket, RI. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Mitchell's Memory to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
