Maria L. (Aguiar) Estrela

PAWTUCKET - Maria L. Estrela 90, passed away Sunday October 2, 2016 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Francisco C. Estrela. Born in Cape Verde she was a daughter of the late Aguinaldo and Isabel (Santos) Aguiar. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 17 years and was formerly of Central Falls. Before retiring Maria was employed as an Assembler for Elmwood Sensors of Pawtucket for 5 years retiring in 1997. She also worked for Progressive Latino. Beside her husband she leaves 3 daughters Maria Filomena Estrela - Pereira of Pawtucket, Isabel Estrela of Portugal, Maria Adeliza Estrela - Fontes of Central Falls, 2 sons Carlos Estrela of Pawtucket and Francisco Estrela of England, 2 sisters Fatima Faria and Maria Teresa Aguiar both of New Bedford and 1 brother Adriano Aguiar of Pawtucket along with 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Gabriel Estrela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday October 8, 2016 in Holy Spirit Catholic Community (St. Matthews Church) 1030 Dexter Street Central Falls at 9:30 a.m. CALLING HOURS FRIDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. in the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
