Attleboro - Paul A. Poholek 90, passed away Saturday October 12, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Esther M. (Dawicki) Poholek.
Born in Atlleboro, MA, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Stachurski) Poholek.
Paul was employed as a Blacksmith/Farrier for forty-five years.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany and France. He was also a member of the American Farriers Assoc and the Brotherhood of the Farriers Assoc.
Paul was an avid hunter, enjoyed farming and was very fond of animals especially horses and had a special touch with them.
He is survived by one brother Ernest M. Poholek of North Attleboro and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stella Gavlick, Genevieve Stadnicki, Mary Barr, Elizabeth Kelleher and Frank, Joseph, Albert, Theodore, Constant and John Jr. Poholek.
His Funeral will be held Thursday October 17, 2024 at 9:00 AM with calling hours until 10:30 AM in the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI. Relatives and Friends are welcome to attend.
Burial with Military Honors will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery Curran Road, Cumberland, RI.
Donations in Mr. Poholek's memory to St. Joseph's Church would be greatly appreciated.
