Philip K. McGrath 72, passed away Saturday December 12, 2020 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Scalaro) McGrath.
Mr. McGrath enjoyed being an entrepreneur and owned and operated the former Mr. Phil's Tavern in East Providence, he also worked for Key Container for ten years, and was a licensed Real Estate Agent. He received a Private Investigator license in Rhode Island and was the head of security for Stop and Shop Supermarkets.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by one daughter Wendy McGrath of Pawtucket, One son Philip McGrath Jr. of Pawtucket, one grandson Sgt. Johnathan Shanley of Rhode Island, and one brother Edward McGrath of CT.
The burial with military honors will be held in The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter at a later date.
