ATTLEBORO - Raymond A. Bigda 91, passed away Sunday June 3, 2018 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of M. Fatima (DeLima) Bigda and the late Mildred T. (Baran) Bigda. Born in Pawtucket, RI Ray was a son of the late Adam and Katherine (Maziarz) Bigda. He lived in South Attleboro, MA for the past 67 years and was formerly of Pawtucket, RI. Before retiring Ray was employed as a Foreman for the Foxboro Co. for many years. Mr. Bigda was a member of the Polish National Alliance. He was involved with Missionary work in Brazil and volunteered for Shrine Ministry and the Soup Kitchen at LaSalette Shrine of Attleboro, MA and was an active member of St. Joseph's Church of Central Falls, RI. Ray was a WWII Navy Veteran serving as a Radarman Third Class prior to discharge. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, four sons John Bigda and Mary of Swansea, MA, David Bigda and Jennifer of Taunton, MA, Michael Bigda and Judi of CT and Kenneth Bigda and Carol of NC, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Thursday June 7, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS THURSDAY FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 9:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
