(Retired Master Chief Petty Officer) Stanley P. Kumiega

CUMBERLAND, RI - Stanley P. Kumiega 82,  passed away Saturday July 10, 2021 at Mt. St. Rita Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Josette M. (Padien) Kumiega.
     Born in Pawtucket, RI Stan was the son of the late Stanley and Mary T. (Glogowski) Kumiega. He lived in Cumberland, RI for the past 51 years and was formerly of Central Falls, RI.
     Before retiring He was employed by Delta Airlines as a Reservation Agent for 30 years. 
     Mr. Kumiega served on active duty with the U.S. Navy for two years and thirty eight years with the U.S. Naval Reserve retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. After his Naval retirement he Joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard for ten years.
     Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his loving children  one daughter Renee K. Blaine and her husband Louis of Franklin, MA, one son Francis S. Kumiega and his wife Dawn of Wilmington, MA and one cherished grandson Finn Blaine. He also leaves one sister Mary Lou Renquin and her husband Joseph of Texas, nieces and nephews.
     Funeral with Military Honors will be held Thursday July 15, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls, RI  with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan Church 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland, RI at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours Wednesday July 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
     In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Stanley's Memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
