STANLEY J. SZUMILA

Central Falls- Stanley J. Szumila passed away Sunday November 10. 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Cynthia (Kulik) Szumila.

He was the son of the late Stanley and Sabina (Peliksza) Szumila.

Mr. Szumila was a lifelong resident of Central Falls. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean war as a Military Policeman. After receiving his Discharge from the Service, he was a Central Falls Police Officer before retiring, and was also a Security Guard  Sergeant for C.C.R.I.  He was also a life member of the FOP.

He is survived by one daughter Cheryl Santos of Central Falls, three grandchildren Caitlin Culbertson, James Santos and his girlfriend Arianna Fortin and Bradley Santos, nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late AnnMarie Culbertson and Stephen Szumila. He was the brother of the late Monica Reilly, Anna Bryant, Helen Such, Sophie Golda and Francis Szumilo.

His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday November 15, 2024 at 8:30 AM from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls followed by a Prayer Service at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket
