Stanley J. Cyganiewicz

CUMBERLAND - Stanley J. Cyganiewicz, 90, a resident of the Rhode Island Veterans Home passed away Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Pytel) Cyganiewicz. Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Michael and Filomena (Kiman) Cyganiewicz. He lived in Cumberland for 55 years. Mr. Cyganiewicz was employed by the State of Rhode Island as a Probation and Parole Officer working in the Central Falls Office. He was an Insurance Agent and Eastern Region Supervisor for the Polish Roman Catholic Union. Stanley was a WWII Army veteran serving with Headquarters Company 101st Infantry Regiment as a TEC 4 in the European Theater. He was a member of the Kierlit Korzen A.L. Post #79 of Central Falls. Bedsides his wife he leaves his loving children one daughter Paula Paquette and her husband George of North Scituate, two sons Robert S. Cyganiewicz of Pawtucket and John M. Cyganiewicz and his wife Beth of Sarasota, FL along with four cherished grandchildren Alison, Kala, Evan and Sami, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Nancy Cyganiewicz. A funeral with Military Honors will be held Saturday November 7, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street, Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan's Church, 1962 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS SATURDAY FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 9:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
