Steven Edward "S.k." Kapalka

KAPALKA, STEVEN EDWARD "S.K." 76, was a person who spent his life trying to understand others, and more importantly, trying to understand himself. He left this world better than he found it, picking up litter, helping to fight for people with disabilities, staying informed of local and world events, and sharing this knowledge to help society as a whole. He touched many through his thoughtful questioning and introspective views. He tried to give what he could and never wanted or expected anything in return. Our father was a very special man. He can't be compared to anyone else. Steven Edward Kapalka was an only child, a husband, a best friend, a father and a grandfather. He was also a pioneer, an environmentalist and a humanitarian. Anyone who took the time to get to know the man underneath the old tattered clothes and unkempt appearance, was very, very lucky. He was loved, respected and admired by many and, he will be missed beyond words. Thank you Dad...for trying so hard.
